Taking the Initial Step

Often, one of the most challenging parts of walking with the Lord is simply taking the next step.

We wish to feel ready, solid, and full of faith before we move. Yet so frequently, God fulfills us as we go, not while we're iced up in place.

Take a minute to mirror and hope, asking of God: What solitary, simple action would certainly You have me embark on today? What in my life could I gain from a kind word or supportive gesture? What methods are you currently using at the office in my situation, and how can I align with your plans?

Your step could be a short prayer, a call, opening your Holy Bible, or simply choosing to count on Him in one small way.

You don't have to plan the whole trip.  Walk together with the One who recognizes the means.
